All is well. He is ours and we are his. The Thai govt gave final approval. The US embassy gave a passport and visa. We are all done with that stuff. Solomon is still happy. He is so happy and up for anything. today i was just so impressed with him - he was bounced along on our crazy excursion to get the visa, walking, running, sky trains, waiting in a crowded waiting room, parks, loud noises, hundreds of new sensations, tastes, smells, and experiences, and he just went right along smiling. he fell asleep for his first nap in the noisy waiting room on my lap right on schedule. he loves swimming too.

tomorrow we go to a "bungalow" on the beach on koh samet. it's still a nice place with air conditioning and all that jazz. we'll be there for five nights, then back here for two, then on our way home. we're going to take a private car to the dock for the island rather than the bus. it takes a couple hours off our travel time and the driver is a real nice guy. yesterday a random stranger at the hotel got in the pool with us and said, i just got back from sametville and it was heaven on earth. that's the name of the exact hotel we're going to. he gave us some helpful details.

anyway, we're happy to be with our beautiful boy. thank you for all your comments.
love to everyone,
jessica

I am so delighted all the months and months of paperwork and filling out documents that led to more documents is finally complete. You can take slow deep breathes and just enjoy having your cherished, little treasure in your arms. Solomon is truly yours!!!

Cherished treasures are so worth the incredible amount of work, pain, sorrow, disappointment, and discouragement. Your tears have turned into laughter and joy. May the Lord continue to bless you richly and give your great wisdom in your new role as Solomon's mother and father. :)

I am already so pleased for you and for him and so proud of what you have gained because you did not quit when things got so very difficult.

Have fun, fun and more fun at the beach. See you soon and love you much.

Done with all that stuff!?! Did you really think you would ever say that?!! It sounds so miraculous. And the bonding and temperment of Solomon is also beyond words--more than we imagined and a huge answer to our prayers. I'm so grateful, with you for the treasures of courage, calm, clarity, contentment, & compassion you are experiencing -- alas. We are so glad you are off to enjoy some R&R. You deserve it. All our love and gratitude, Mom and Dad

No more paperwork.
Five days at a beach resort.
Time to be a family.
Time to sit and marvel.
What a wonderful life.
We share your joy.

Congratulations!!! I'm so excited for you guys! What an amazing little boy you have! Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you!

We are thinking of Koh Samet or Koh Samui when we travel so I can't wait to hear all about Samet! It does look like Heaven on Earth from the pictures!

Ben! Why in the world would you let some "grizzly-looking" mountain man play with your long-awaited, not to mention, ADORABLE, baby-boy?
...oh wait. That's you. Sorry. Please disregard my previous statement.

YAY! Congratulations!
